In keeping with the Valentines Day theme, i thought a decadent dessert was in order! Decadent yes, but naughty, no. This dessert will leave you with nothing to feel guilty about. We don’t feel guilty about food here at Nourish & Inspire Me!
This mousse is beautifully rich and silky smooth, the perfect sweet/dessert for you and your partner to share! It’s dairy-free, sugar-free, soy-free and gluten-free. If you haven’t tried chocolate mousse made with avocado you will be pleasantly surprised! Avocado is the cream of this earth! I use it to thicken up smoothies and it just goes so perfectly in this mousse recipe.
I surprised my friend Jay with this chocolate mousse today as i’d made a batch to photograph, and before i could turn around to ask if he liked it, he was licking the jar i put it in to get every last little bit! I told you, it’s a winner! Jay is a super sweet tooth too and sceptical to some of the “weird, hippie food” i try to feed him at times, like spirulina – i couldn’t get that one past him. Anyway, when i told him the mousse had avocado in it… well he wasn’t listening to me anyway because he was focused so much on the mousse! haha
I love making people yummy, healthy food and watching their eyes light up with enjoyment as they eat it. They know it’s good for them and it opens them up to a world where healthy food tastes good! This is what i hope to achieve with this website, to show you that you can eat delicious food and enjoy it, but also know that you are loving and nourishing your body at the same time. It’s the best feeling in the world! You won’t get a sugar crash, you won’t get mood swings, you won’t put on weight and you won’t feel guilty. You are loving your body and your body loves you right back!
Be sure to use RAW cacao rather than COCOA. Raw cacao has all the benefits that you want, like antioxidants, magnesium and other amazing phytonutrients. All of which help to prevent cardiovascular disease and cancer. If you’re eating chocolate that isn’t raw, you probably aren’t getting as much of the health enhancing nutrients you think you’re getting.
So in the spirit of loving this Valentine’s Day, love your body! Love your partner too of course, but loving yourself, to me, is the best way to heal humanity, because you are leading by example. You’re inspiring others to do the same. To love themselves.
PLUS it says so in this picture! This mousse loves you!
