Cashew Hemp Milk NourishAndInspireMe

nourishinspiremeApril 4, 2014October 27, 2022

Oh my! It’s been a while between posts and we’ve missed you! Never fear though, during our short absence the Nourish & Inspire Me team have been busy putting together some amazing things for you. I have two cookbooks coming (gulp!), an interview with a champion footballer, we also have some amazing health professionals coming on board, a new e-store on the way featuring my favourite products and I’m completing a personal training course so i can start inspiring you to move and get your fitness game up! … Whoa so much going on but i’m so excited for you all to see the amazing stuff we have in store, (literally!).

For today though, i have a yummy dairy-free, nut milk recipe for you to try. I’ve been getting back into muesli and granola – it’s one of my favourite meals and now i can’t remember why i stopped eating it everyday?! Since i don’t drink dairy milk, I’m always experimenting with new nut milk flavours to mix it up!  I generally don’t buy prepackaged nut milks, it’s just so quick, easy and inexpensive to make your own nut milk without the carrageneen, sunflower oil, emulsifiers or aluminium packaging, plus they taste delicious! Homemade nut milk on my breaky in the morning is something that’s on my mind before i go to bed at night! Does anyone else dream about breakfast like i do? And this cashew and hemp combo is a winner! Well worth dreaming about.

Hemp seeds are full of protein and omega-3’s so a great additive to your pantry. They are great to add to smoothies, desserts and salads too! The cashews in this milk balance it out with a bit of sweetness and add a bit of extra creaminess. If you’ve never had cashew milk before you will notice it’s considerably creamier than other nut milks in my opinion. They call cashews the “butter” of this earth and for good reason!

In my next post i will share with you the muesli that is featured in these pictures. It’s a simple muesli that you can throw together pretty fast and enjoy with your Cashew & Hemp Milk!

Here is the recipe, hope you enjoy!

Lot’s of love,

Arie-Elle x
